About your new role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Business Partner to join our dynamic HR team. You will be responsible for partnering with our people leaders to provide strategic and tactical HR solutions to business. Working closely with the HR Manager, L&D Advisor and H&S Manager to share information, monitor trends and enable the effective and timely roll out of key people initiatives across both the ELF Group ("EL&F") combining AB Equipment Limited and the Speirs Finance Group.


What you'll need to succeed:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years' experience in a generalist human resource role, preferably HR Advisor or HR Business Partner role
  • Have a good understanding of employment legislation and case law
  • Thorough understanding of wide range of HR principles and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with people at all levels
  • Team player
  • Intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • Previous experience using a modern HRIS
  • Attention to detail with excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Flexible multi-tasker with strong organisational skills
  • Positive personality with a real "can do" attitude & exceptional customer-centric attitude/approach

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Ensure there is company-wide awareness of and compliance with current
  • employment legislation
  • Provide support and advice to our people leaders on operational human resource matters.
  • Support people leaders with managing and minimising employee and employment relation risks.
  • Assist our people leaders to recruit, retain and develop talent in the business
  • Work with Branch Managers & Leadership team to create a performance culture within AB Equipment
  • Ensure focus is on the things we are about, our people, our safety and our industry
