About the role:

We're looking for a highly capable & experienced Construction Equipment Sales Manager to join our team. The role will be responsible for business development, relationship management, driving strategy, providing market intelligence and insights, promoting our Construction Equipment brands, and helping to drive new opportunities for AB Equipment within the greater Auckland region. Our sales team need an inspirational leader to ensure we continue to deliver best in class sales & service. So take your career to the next level with this challenging and rewarding opportunity.

Based in East Tamaki and reporting to the Branch Operations Manager, you will also be managing a team of 4 sales staff. We believe we have some of the best people in the industry and with your drive, discipline and innovative approach you will add another dimension to our already strong team.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Minimum of 5 years selling capital goods environment (ideally Compact and Construction based)
  • Minimum of 3 -5 years specialist experience in recruiting and retaining a high performance sales team
  • Tertiary qualification preferred.
  • Exceptional customer-centric attitude & approach.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the growth of equipment and aftermarket service, parts and training.
  • Developing and delivering sales strategy in conjunction with the Management team.
  • Assisting with CE marketing campaign and initiatives.
  • Positive development of customer and supplier satisfaction.
  • Maintain focus on the things we value; our people, our safety and developing our industry.
  • Active leadership of workplace health and safety, culture and business systems.
