Service Supervisor

Are you a hardworking, dedicated and passionate leader with significant technical experience looking to join a customer focussed team and a stable of premium products from around the world?

Due to an internal promotion, our Branch needs a new Service Supervisor to manage a team of Mechanics in a 'hands on' workshop based role. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be a strong team leader with significant technical experience and ability to manage personnel whilst maintaining efficient workflows. AB Equipment is a market leader in construction, materials handling and environmental equipment and we are looking for someone who is committed to delivering exceptional service standards.

A background with experience in Heavy Construction machinery and Material Handling equipment, an eye for detail, and a passion for "doing things right the first time" are essential requirements. You will also possess strong interpersonal skills and be good at building relationships with our customers and within your Service team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good level of computer literacy will be to your advantage.

Key skills required:
• Significant technical expertise with current engine, transmission and hydraulic systems
• A thorough knowledge and understanding of electronic/electrical circuits and systems
• A team player who is customer service focussed and has a can-do attitude

Key areas of responsibility:
• Management and control of workflows within the workshop environment
• Staff management and labour efficiency
• Ensuring workmanship, safety and workshop cleanliness are at the highest possible standards at all times
• Monitoring and training of service personnel
